Default Real Housewives of OC - an Industry First + contest

Bravo Launches - Are You A Real Housewife? - On YouTube

In anticipation of the second season debut of its hit docu-series "The Real Housewives of Orange County" on Tuesday, January 16 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, Bravo launches a nationwide search on YouTube for the next "Real Housewife" with the promotion "Are You A Real Housewife?." The contest begins January 8 and one lucky winner will appear on Bravo and win a feature in Star magazine.

Additionally, as part of the promotion, The Real Housewives YouTube Channel will feature an exclusive sneak peek of the new season's premiere episode beginning January 11 on (www.youtube.com/realhousewives), marking the first time a network has released a full series episode on YouTube.

Interested housewives are invited to create a video diary of their lives that tells why they feel they are an original, real housewife with a dramatic story all their own, maybe even proving that soccer moms and housewives really are hot. Real housewives can visit BRAVOtv.com : The Real Housewives of Orange County 2 for more information and to register for the contest.

Video diary entries should be no more than three minutes, and can be submitted from January 8, 2007 through February 6, 2007. The winning housewife will be selected by Bravo and announced the week of February 12.

The best video diary entry will be awarded with:

An appearance on Bravo.

Their video diary story featured on BravoTV.com.

A trip to New York or Los Angeles for a photo shoot and a feature in Star magazine. Dates to be determined. Participants must be available from February 15 – 25.

The Real Housewives YouTube Channel also will feature select video diary entries each week. In addition, the Channel will feature a recap of season one to get viewers up-to-speed with the storylines and a weekly promotional page that will include a sneak peek of each upcoming episode, made available every Wednesday following a new episode starting January 17.

Season two of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" was produced by Evolution Film & Tape Inc., with partners Douglas Ross, Gregory Stewart, Kathleen French and Dean Minerd serving as executive producers. Series creator and Orange County resident Scott Dunlop also returns for the second season as executive producer.
