Default It's War! Shocking Letters From Donald & Martha!

The exchange of unpleasentries between Donald Trump and Martha Stewart has erupted into a full-fledged war. The latest blow: Trump wrote Martha a letter in which he eviserates both her and her shows.

Trump shared the letter with Newsweek, which also interviewed him. Among other things, his comments show that he still persists under the delusion that his show is number one, when it is nowhere close to that. “What moron would think you’d fire a guy with the No. 1 show on TV?” Trump said, completely denying that he was ever going to be replaced, when Mark Burnett “confirmed” to Newsweek that was indeed discussed.

Before we get to Trump’s letter, here’s part of Martha’s reply:

“The letter is so mean-spirited and reckless that I almost can’t believe my long-time friend Donald Trump wrote it. I am very proud of the work we did with Mark Burnett Productions and Mr. Trump, who was an executive producer, on ‘The Apprentice: Martha Stewart.’ Many young entrepreneurs learned so much from the show and enjoyed it. Many families sat their children down weekly to watch it.”

So what was “so mean-spirited and reckless”? Newsweek doesn’t reproduce the whole letter in block form, but instead excerpts parts in its text. Here are those parts made whole, with ellipses marking Newsweek’s breaks. Be prepared, because Trump really loses it:

“It’s about time you started taking responsibility for your failed version of “The Apprentice”. … Your performance was terrible in that the show lacked mood, temperament and just about everything else a show needs for success. I knew it would fail as soon as I first saw it—and your low ratings bore me out. … Between your daughter, with her-one word statements, your letter writing and, most importantly, your totally unconvincing demeanor, it never had a chance—much as your daytime show is not exactly setting records. … You made this firing up just as you made up your sell order of ImClone. The only difference is—that was more obvious. I did nothing but positively promote you. My great loyalty to you has gone totally unappreciated. … P.S. Be careful or I will do a syndicated daytime show, perhaps called The Boardroom, and further destroy the meager ratings you already have.”

MORE ON THIS
The domestic diva took aim in an article in the current Newsweek; The Donald blasted back in a letter to Martha delivered Tuesday, and late Tuesday a stunned Stewart returned fire. In his biting letter, Trump wrote that Stewart's version of The Apprentice was "a mistake for everybody - especially NBC."

The real-estate mogul was responding to Stewart's sniping to Newsweek that Martha Stewart: The Apprentice floundered last fall - cancelled after one cycle - because Trump would not take his competing show off the schedule.

Her show was supposed to be the only Apprentice and was meant to start out with her firing Trump on the air, she told Newsweek, reiterating comments she'd made before.

"Having two Apprentices was as unfair to him as it was unfair to me," she told Newsweek. "But Donald really wanted to stay on."

Trump's blunt response asks Stewart to take responsibility for her "failed show."

"Your performance was terrible in that the show lacked mood, temperament and just about everything a show needs for success," he wrote. "I knew it would fail as soon as I first saw it - and your low ratings bore me out."

Ouch.

"Between your daughter, with her one-word statements, your letter writing and, most importantly, your totally unconvincing demeanour, it never had a chance - much as your daytime show is not exactly setting records," he wrote.

Then he really told her what he thought.

"Essentially, you made this firing up just as you made up your sell order of ImClone," said Trump, who claimed NBC did not intend to fire him on Stewart's show.

In a statement issued late Tuesday, Stewart, who lost an appeal last month that ended her criminal case for lying about a stock sale that sent her to jail for five months and nearly six months of house arrest, said she was bewildered by Trump's comments and tone.

"The letter is so mean-spirited and reckless that I almost can't believe my longtime friend Donald Trump wrote it," she stated.

"I am very proud of the work we did with Mark Burnett Productions and Mr. Trump, who was an executive producer, on The Apprentice: Martha Stewart. Many young entrepreneurs learned so much from the show and enjoyed it. Many families sat their children down weekly to watch it. We are even more pleased with our excellent daytime show Martha - syndicated by NBC Universal - which has just been nominated for six daytime Emmys (including best show and best host), was touted by the New York Times as one of the best shows on television, and has been embraced by our wonderful audience throughout the country."

Hi,
I don't know whether this is the right thread to ask this or not but since I saw Donald Trump's name here, couldn't stop myself from asking! I have heard that he has an entrepreneurship mastery program called trump university. I am interested in such an entrepreneurship course, which also gives distributorship opportunity of that program. Does Trump give distributorship opportunity of his program? Is there any other program on similar lines?

Hi Rex, I think I can help you out. Yes, it's true that Trump university has a programme on entrepreneurship mastery, but they don't provide distributorship opportunity. There is this UniversityOfVictory.org, which has launched a programme similar to that of the Trump University’s. Above all, they provide distributorship opportunity as well, where one can make $1000 on $1500 package.
