Bill "The Apprentice" Rancic popped the question Friday night to E! News anchor Giuliana DePandi during a helicopter tour of downtown Chicago, People magazine reported Saturday on its Web site.
DePandi said yes.
"I thought I was dreaming," she told People. "It was the most amazing moment of my entire life. Not only is Bill the love of my life, but he's also my best friend. I couldn't believe my dream guy was asking me to marry him!"
Flew over Michigan Ave.
Rancic had a limo pick up DePandi at the airport, but rather than taking her home, she was dropped off at a helipad.
The couple's rep, Jim Dowd, told People: "[Rancic] met her there with deep dish pizza, which is her favorite, and champagne."
The two then toured downtown, flying over the holiday lights on Michigan Avenue, and Rancic proposed, Dowd said.
Back at Rancic's apartment, scattered rose petals and chocolate cake awaited.
DePandi, 31, and Rancic, 35, met more than two years ago when DePandi interviewed Rancic, the first-season winner of Donald Trump's reality series, People reported.
Rancic, an entrepreneur who still works as a consultant for Trump, will be one of The Donald's advisers on next season's "The Apprentice," according to People.
The pair plan to marry late next year in the south of Italy, where DePandi grew up, People said.
