A ? regarding the poll...

It says on the poll that it closes 08-26-05 at 1:36 PM....is it me or is that not after Thursday's eviction show and everyone would know who to vote for...?? Just wondering...

Hey mrshoagie,

It does not allow me to set the time for the closing of the poll. What I do is manually close the poll at 6:00pm CST every Thursday.

Don't worry...I promise that it does not remain open AFTER VOTING! That would not be fair and definately not the way to run a contest....

Your doing very good and so far...you are kicking everyone's booty so keep voting and we will see what happens.

Makes Big Brother 6 just that little bit more fun doesn't it!!

The only negative thing I have found is that there is a slight advantage to waiting until after Tuesdays show (or reading weekend spoilers) since you can know of the POV results BEFORE the poll closes. That will usually eliminate an option for you. Either the POV is not used and you know not to choose that one then you have a choice between the other 2 house guests, or the POV is used and one of the houseguests is safe. Then you have the choice between the remaining houseguest (since they could still go) or the POV choice for the new person on the chopping block.

So...there is always at least 2 possible answers so it is still very much a game of chance.

This is my first try at running a contest and giving away a nice prize...so far so good I think!

What do you guys think of the BB6 contest? What would you do differently? what do you like or dislike about it? Any feedback would be appreciated!

Hey Admin,

I have had a blast with contest. Even my hubby is asking who i think is going (and HE HATES this show...LOL) I agree about waiting until the Tuesday show. Maybe you could give extra points for the sooner you make your guess. Like if you guess the day the nominations come out up until b4 the POV comp you get double the points...or something of that nature...but otherwise, keep going. LOL I have had a lot of fun with it...

I joined a bit late but im still enjoying it. Its like a sports pool. There have been times when ive voted, then found out my team was aiming to get rid of someone else so I didn't know who to root for. ^_^
