Angry Wow that lasted a while...

I was gnna sign uo for a free 14-day-trial for the live big brother feed to see if I like it. So I go to sign up and within minutes find out I need to give a credit card number anyways and if I dont cancel in 14 days theyll charge me. Typical...

Instead of doing the logical thing and giving the 14 day trial THEN asking for credit card information they ask for it first. cuz its one of those typical offers that will be almost impossible to ancel so you'll ed up paying a month at least, almost guaranteed.

These things REALLY get on my nerves

Cool Hey childgenius7

Welcome to today's world.

I guess it is kind of a give and take. Yes they offer the free trial but I am sure they are banking on many people will "forget" to renew and thus allowing them to charge a credit card.

May not be something you are happy with but it makes smart business sense on Real Networks part.

So...if you want...give it a try...and if you are really not wanting to pay the monthly charge, write it down on your calendar when to cancel your subscription. Basically the balls in your court.

If you have any questions...feel free to ask. A lot of our members have the feeds and watch them on and off.

Cool

also...not sure what you mean by "almost impossible to cancel"

You email them and say, no more on this date or you call and say thanks but no thanks.

I dont think it is impossible. You just have to do it. I have heard nothing about it being difficult to cancel.

Your call man. Guess it all depends on if you want to watch the feeds or not.

Default Okay

So from what I year from you there isn't much problem canceeling it. But I have experience with SO many other companies that do things similar to this. It happens a lot with magazine subscriptions. And when u try to cancel, u talk to someone and they tell you they cancelled it yet you still recive a bill that your expected to pay.

Cool

I agree...they make you feel guilty for cancelling and try to sell you something else. It does kinda stink...but just go in there knowing what you want and do it.

I once had a business checking account that I wanted to close. Walked into the bank to close it.

Walked out with a new personal checking account, atm card, checks, free toaser (or something silly) and did not want it.

So....I hear ya CG! Kinda stinks sometimes but people always want to try to make a buck!
