Arrow Episode #21, recap, link, tiny commentary

If you'd rather watch it than read it just go here and look for Big Brother: All-Stars episode #21

http://www.cbs.com/innertube/player.php?cat=109976

Briefly, James was evicted, Erika won HoH and we got to see Howie and Marcellas at the sequester house.

At the end of the show, Julie again promised big excitement during the week -- teasing us with ......two houseguests will walk out of the house next Thursday night and the houseguests won't know what hit them (not word-for-word but as close as I recall).

She doesn't come out and say double eviction and she doesn't hint that there will be a second HoH this week -- so -- who knows, she's tried to tease us for the last 3, ... um... 4 ?? weeks in a row about 'big events inside the BB house" but who really knows??? I don't even think she does... She just reads the script.

In depth episode recap from CBS' website:

FLOATER ON TOP

James Evicted 3-1, Erika HoH

James becomes a victim of his own double-dipping as he is evicted in a tight 3-1 shove out the door. In a moment worthy of choral music and streams of light bursting through stormy skies, Erika pips Danielle and Will at the post to win the HoH at last.

CHILL FACTOR

Janey is off the block, and George is up with James. Janey’s PoV nemesis, James, still believes that Chicken George will be leaving, and he’ll “still be here come Thursday evening.” George is packing his bags, but not stressing, smiling, “I’m just going to be my normal, everyday self.”

Falling victim to vulnerability, James asks Danielle privately, “Do you think they’ll vote to keep me?” Danielle frowns as she’s beginning to wonder the same thing, “I’ll talk with them,” she assures him, “I just wanna make sure.” Outside, Will confirms her suspicions as he confides, “I’ve got concerns, Danielle.” “I can tell, Will,” Danielle sighs, as Will explains that his Legion alliance is strongest with her, and that James’ “double-dipping” has caused him to mistrust where he used to believe. Danielle feels that Will is “giving me a hint that he may do something to change this game.” If Chilltown does evict James, she snarls, “God help them.”

THERE’S NO ‘I’ IN TEAM

Erika comes clean to Danielle that she neithr believes in nor trusts either of the nominees. Danielle defends James, reminding her that he “put his neck on the line for (his) alliance” by throwing the PoV Competition. Erika points out that he put himself at risk “for you, but not for me.” Danielle wants to protect James for her own sake, as he is the only one she truly trusts. Danielle seems tired and a little crestfallen when she asks Janelle later on if she wants “to call a truce…a one week truce.” Caught off-guard by the offer, Janelle “paused for what seemed like an eternity because (she) didn’t really know what to say, so (she) just said yes,“ but cautions that she has learned “to lie to the enemy.” Danielle intimates that she knows Chilltown are floaters and admits as much later in the Diary Room: “I need to knock Chilltown down. Those two need to be separated.”

James tries to heal his “rift” with Janelle, discussing their old alliance, but Janey is holding her bible and is not susceptible to his charms, keeping her wits about her. In an effort to procure votes, James joins Will, who is pumping iron in the backyard. “So,” he smirks, “am I going to be another Howie this week?” Will acts surprised by James’ insecurity, asking, “Are you worried?” James seems embarrassed by his vulnerability, admitting, “You know how it gets. Paranoia…I guess Danielle is worried, and that’s what getting me worried.” “I wouldn’t even concern myself,” Will grunts between lifting sets.

After cleaning himself up a bit, Will catches Danielle stressing about James’ potential eviction. She is obviously emotional as she warns that if Will and Boogie change their vote, it won’t bode well for them: “I can’t have you guys do that.” But Will doesn’t reassure her that they will keep James. She later breaks into tears in the Diary Room fearing Chilltown’s betrayal is imminent, “He can’t walk out that door.” Will returns to the HoH, where he tells Boogie they have to kick out James or he will come after him (Will) next week. But Boogie worries that without Danielle on board they might not be able to vote James out. “For me, there’s no turning back,” Will declares, but Boogie is worried. Will agrees, to a point: “If Danielle is not ok with this, she’s coming after us, she will not support us, and we’re alone.” Will doesn’t seem as fazed by that thought as Boogie does.

Host Julie Chen welcomes the HouseGuests, who greet her with a rousing cheer. When asked about Howie’s departure last week, Boogie laughs off their posturing as just flashes of anger. Julie also asks Janey about her crying, which Janelle slyly brushes aside with feigned embarrassment, as it appears the bombshell is still milking her “little-girl-lost” role for all the alliances she can bait.

PRISONERS OF PARADISE LOST

Marcellas arrives at the Sequester House, sighing, “Welcome to my banishment, my own personal hell. This is the worst experience of my life.” He likes being alone, though. “I’m going to work on not being bitter this week so that once someone comes through the door, I can be somewhat friendly,” he resolves, adding, “God in heaven, I hope it isn’t Howie.” When Howie turns up 24 hours later, he stands in the upstairs entryway and yells, “Ultimate betrayal!” Hearing the call, Marcellas screams in agony, “No! No! No!” Howie runs downstairs as Marcellas whines, “Damn paradise has just been lost!” Howie makes himself at home as Marcellas begrudges his presence. “If I could swim the hell back to the United States,” he huffs, “I would be in that sea right now battling sharks.” Howie pulls out the DVD of the past HoH Competition, in which George won HoH. Marcellas watches in disbelief, but soon becomes offended by Howie’s nasty commentary. “Howie is a bully. He’s abrasive and disrespectful,” Marcellas gripes. “The man’s a pig.” Howie tears strips off everyone still in the house, slinging insults at everyone except Janelle. Grinning his best buffoon smile, Howie smirks, “Now that I’m evicted, the party is just beginning in paradise.” Not according to Marcellas, though, who pulls Howie up short, telling him that now they’re not in the BIG BROTHER house, Marcellas doesn’t have to be nice to him anymore, adding that his name is Marcellas, not Marci. Like a scolded puppy, Howie’s tail stops wagging momentarily, but resumes seconds later as he bounces cheerfully back, “Sorry, Marjealous.”

CHILLTOWN’S YOKO

Boogie’s showmance with Erika is “full-on,” according to the man. Will and Janelle’s innocent flirtations stay PG-rated, and based more on intellectual rather than physical stimulation. Will doesn’t trust Erika an inch, as he feels she is “playing Boogie,” while Boogie thinks that Janelle could be “setting up a master play” and is coming after Chilltown. Will recognizes that his friendship with Boogie is threatened by two great girls. Describing himself and Boogie as the Beatles, he announces, “This week, we’re bringing in the Yoko.” They just have to decide which of the two will be Yoko.

Julie and Boogie talk one on one about his time as HoH. He says it has been a great week, especially as he and Will have been able to talk about who they want to take to the finals and who they need to target.

In the Diary Room, the HouseGuests reveal their thoughts on the nominees. Erika doesn’t know what George will do and is worried about keeping him. Tearful, Danielle says that James needs to stay as he is the only one she trusts in the house. Janelle sighs that she doesn’t fully trust James any more but would feel guilty if she didn’t vote for him to stay. Will explains that James is the biggest threat on many levels, and that he has to go. If they do so, Danielle swears, they will unleash her fury.

SPELL TRUST “S-U-C-K-E-R”

Julie welcomes the HouseGuests to the vote, and invites James and George to make a last-minute statement before the votes are cast. James reminds everyone that he is a competitor here to play the game, while George is light and sweet and thanks everyone.

Erika is first to vote, and casts her vote to evict James. Will is next to cast his vote to evict James. Danielle is next, voting to evict George. Then Janelle votes and effectively evicts James with her vote.

Julie announces James’ fate, and as Danielle fights back her tears, James departs. Julie awaits him, asking if he feels betrayed now sitting outside the house. James admits he “took the game way too seriously” in the beginning and realized he needed to get his game straight. Julie asks why he has so much anger towards Janelle. James sighs, “I got really mad at Janelle in the beginning because…she sold me out to (everyone).” James justifies his betrayal of his S-6 allies by claiming he was the victim of their treachery first. The good-bye messages to James were pleasant overall, with Danielle promising, to “take care of (Chilltown). I promise.”

WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE?

While the HouseGuests (except Danielle) are still congratulating each other on ousting one of their most powerful competitors, Julie announces the HoH Competition, entitled, “But first.” The HouseGuests will have to judge whether the statements Julie reads are true or false. To indicate a true response, they will take a step up on their podium. If they think the answer is false, the HouseGuests will take a step down. They are blindfolded, so cannot see their housemates’ answers. An incorrect answer means elimination. The last HouseGuest standing will be crowned the new HoH.

Julie asks the first question, which everyone gets right. Next question, George and Janelle are eliminated. The next question sees Danielle and Will go, leaving Erika as the new HoH.
