Culinary Queen Chef Bert
I started out as a beginner cook in my brothers small carry out restaurant in Akron,Ohio. After working under my brother (a certified chef) for several years, I felt I had learned enough about the food service business to go out on my own.
I applied for a position with a five star restaurant and was hired as a Pantry Chef. I was trained by some awesome chefs and learned a great deal about culinary arts and fine dining.
After out growing the pantry position I was hired for, I moved on to a more challenging position with another local five star restaurant. While employed there I gained even more knowledge of foods. I learned how to follow cooporate recipes and run every station on the line. I eventually tested out of every station in the BOH and sought an even more challenging position.
I decided to relocate to a larger city where I would perhaps gain an even broader culinary experience. I moved to Cinn,OH where I immediately landed a position with the number 3 rated fine dining restaurant in the city. All that I had already learned compiled with working under Chefs Paul and Pam Sturkey,
gave me the confidence and ambition to know that I can definetly stand the heat of Chef Ramsey, and compete with any chef out there.
