Episode 2 Recap
As this week's episode begins, we find Millionaire Melissa grieving that her husband, Millionaire Howie, was banished from the island. She soon makes a Howie coconut doll to replace her husband and to cope with her loss. Meanwhile, relationships are growing among the castaways. "I love my Skipper Charlie. He has been my inspiration. To me he has been like a crazy uncle," Mary Ann Mandy says, while Skipper Charlie inquires about her relationship with Professor Andy and her struggles between who is the better man, Gilligan Zac or Professor Andy.
On another part of the island, Millionaire Jim Bounce and his wife discuss how easy it would be for them to win if they were part of the final seven. Millionaire Jim says, "If my wife and I are in the final seven then we have a better chance of winning." His wife, Millionaire Donna Bounce, answers him by saying, "I don't want any one of the castaways on either team to have an upper hand."
The Millionaires, Jim and Donna, are not the only ones with a strategy to win. Professor Tiy-e and Gilligan Shawn are planning something of their own. Gilligan says, "I want to throw the competition because, although we are a team, if the Bounces are to win the competition, it will be two of them going into the final competition. That will definitely stack the competition in everyone else's favor."
The radio brings them all together, but has bad news for the Millionaire Misses. The radio sends them down to the Rocky Beach for an eating contest. Millionaire Donna doesn't fear what awaits her on the dinner table. She says, "I don't care what it takes for me to stay in this competition. I honestly have no plans of leaving this island today." Millionaire Melissa has a more noble cause for victory. She says, "I want to win this for Howie."
Host Scott meets the castaways at Rocky Beach and tells the Millionaire Misses that they will be throwing a dinner party. Millionaire Donna Bounce points out, "I will eat snakeskin and dog hair to win this competition." But she's served a meal much worse than snakeskin and dog hair. The faces of the castaways grow more and more disgusted as each meal that Host Scott reveals is more revolting than the last.
After two minutes of eating sickening food, the Lady Millionaires are given one extra minute to compete. Which Millionaire can put away her upper class manners and eat the sickening food? "I felt myself gagging," says Millionaire Miss Melissa, "but I told myself that I can get through this." The minute ends with Millionaire Donna unable to keep her food down.
The competition is a little closer than the teams would have liked. Team Orange is able to muscle down thirteen plates of food, but Team Green is able to struggle through one more plate. They beat Team Orange and banish Millionaire Donna.
Gilligan Shawn later explains, "If you want to know the actual reason that Mrs. Bounce isn't here on the island with us, I had absolutely nothing. I didn't eat half of a minnow, I didn't even eat half of a testicle."
Miss Millionaire Donna expresses that she isn't losing much. She says, "The biggest prize in life is finding someone you love and that loves you. So even if I am banished to the other side of the island, I still have Jim, and who could ask for anything more?" Millionaire Jim finds that it is going to be lonely on the island without his wife. He says, "In the ten years that Mrs. Bounce and I have been together, we have not been apart for longer than three days, so it is going to be tough."
Meanwhile, Host Scott is with Team Green telling them that they've won an evening at the spa with champagne and facials. The reward doesn't please everyone in the group, however. Skipper Charlie protests, "I don't even know what a facial is."
When Team Green returns to their huts, they find champagne and massage oils waiting for them on a table. After their nauseating meal, they all wanted to relax with a glass of champagne, but Ginger Erika Eleniak wants to talk to the team before they start with the drinks. She confesses, "Because of my gag factor I can't go near anything and smell it without losing it. However it is really hard. It's not a good feeling to not contribute to you guys, because you give everything, you give your heart and soul. So today I will not share this reward with you because in order for me to go to bed tonight and keep my honor, I must do this."
During Team Green's celebration, Gilligan Zac reveals his true motives on the island. He says, "It's discouraging, you know, to see her (Mary Ann Mandy) falling for him (Professor Andrew). Really, because he has no interest in her. He's just sort of out here playing the game. Because with me, I'm looking to walk away from this island with a girlfriend."
On the other side of the island, Professor Tiy-e has Team Orange in a deep discussion about the mishap that occurred during the Rocky Beach dinner. Gilligan Shawn worries that the Professor is going to rat him out for throwing the dinner. Gilligan Shawn says, "Oh no! I am doomed. Professor Tiy-e knew that I threw the competition today. He is going to call me out in front of the whole team." But Professor Tiy-e surprises Gilligan Shawn by complaining to Mary Ann Randi. Professor Tiy-e says, "I cannot emphasize enough, if we go into team competition and we are not positive... Mary Ann Randi, you are destroying me, sweetheart. You are destroying my morale. One thing you kept saying is 'I can't do this.' If tomorrow I am picked, don't say nothing. If it's not positive, don't say a word." Mary Ann Randi replies, "For me that was totally out of my box and my environment. Coming into this whole deal, I said that I could not eat nasty food." She then claims that Professor Tiy-e is taking it a little bit too far. She says, "In the team meeting it should have been: you guys did great. I put myself out there. I ate the nasty food like everyone else."
Meanwhile, Team Green enjoys their facials, especially Skipper Charlie, who receives a foot rub from Mary Ann Mandy and a facial from Miss Millionaire Melissa. Afterwards, the castaways go to Voodoo Village to find out that the Professors will battle to see who will remain on the island.
Some are elated that the Professors will battle and some are saddened. Mary Ann Mandy says, "If Professor Andy leaves tomorrow, I am definitely going to cry." But Gilligan Zac sees an opportunity for Mary Ann Mandy if Professor Andy is off the island. He claims, "It would be nice to get Professor Andy out of the way so that I would have a better shot at Mary Ann Mandy." The night ends with Mary Ann Mandy and Professor Andy talking into the night in his hut, both not wanting to say goodbye.
The sun rises and Gilligan Zac wants to know what is going on between Professor Andy and Mary Ann Mandy. He asks the Professor, "I saw her heading over to your place last night. What's up with that?" Professor Andy answers by saying, "We had to have a little bit of a talk last night. I don't want anybody getting hurt." Gilligan Zac has his own thoughts about that. He again comments, "It's discouraging to see her falling for him and he has no interests in her. He is just out here playing a game."

Miss Melissa and Mr. Bounce start the morning like a married couple on the beach. Mr. Bounce rubs lotion on Miss Melissa, while Coconut Howie watches from the bed. Miss Melissa says, "It is kind of weird, but anything can happen on this island."
In Gilligan Shawn and Skipper Charlie's hut, there is nothing but smiles. Skipper Charlie starts the day off by reliving his facial and foot massage. He says, "When you get half a century old, it is time to change your ways."
The morning mood is soon broken by the beeps of the radio and the instructions for everyone to meet on the beach. Host Scott is waiting by the ocean, and tells the Professors that they will be building a catapult. The first to hit a submarine that's floating in the water wins. Everything points at Professor Andy, who is the engineer. In the competition, however, "Professor of Love" Tiy-e and the Orange Team somehow pull through and Professor Andy is sent packing. Professor Andy says, "At the end of the day it is quite ironic that the engineer is beaten by the love doctor."
As Professor Andy walks away, Mary Ann Mandy sobbingly says, "I'm going to miss Professor Andy. He gave me so much comfort. He is very gentle and kind. I'm going to miss him. I may never see him again. When I leave here with a quarter of a million dollars, Professor Andy just might be giving me a call." Professor Andy feels the same way and says, "I loved hanging out with her. I am going to miss her a lot."
At the same time that there are broken hearts, Gilligan Zac is smiling deep inside. Mary Ann Mandy needs a shoulder to cry on, and who else is left? Gilligan Zac says, "After Professor Andy left, Mary Ann Mandy just kind of came over and hung on top of me. When the best isn't around, I am the best of what's left, I guess."
Team Orange is given mattresses and other comforts for the victory. For the first time since they've been on the island, Team Orange might get a decent night's sleep. All except Gilligan Shawn, who still has the same old hammock. He says, "They couldn't have flown me a feather bed or something? All I wanted was a bed."
Meanwhile, Team Green is consoling Mary Ann Mandy. But Gilligan Zac has a plan up his sleeve. He explains, "I came to this island saying that Mary Ann Mandy was going to be mine, and now that Professor Andy has left, she is back to being mine again."
The longer the castaways stay on the island, the more the tension grows among them. Mary Ann Randi complains to Ginger Erika Eleniak by a campfire about how hungry and worn out she is. Ginger Erika Eleniak replies, "Mary Ann Randi, she complains a lot. When she talks, it's about how bad the food is or how bad the rations are."
Later that night, it doesn't take Mary Ann Mandy long to find comfort from somebody else. She clings to Gilligan Zac and says, "It is extremely nice that I have Zac here with me." Gilligan says, "Without Professor Andrew here tonight, it was a little different having Mandy snuggling up to me by the fire."
The night ends with Professor Tiy-e revealing that both Mary Anns will be competing to stay on the island. Mary Ann Mandy says, "I feel very confident that I can beat Mary Ann Randi in anything, head-to-head." Mary Ann Randi deals with the competition a little differently. Professor Tiy-e and she make up a victory dance; because they know that there is no way that she will lose.
The next morning, Gilligan Zac opens up to Mary Ann Mandy. She hesitantly accepts a date with him after her competition, assuming that she wins. Mary Ann Mandy says, "I still view him as my little buddy, so I hope there is no awkwardness. I really don't have any great love for Gilligan Zac. He's like your little next door neighbor that you go and play with all day."
To prepare for his date, Gilligan goes fishing for dinner. He inspires Ginger Erika and Miss Melissa to attempt fishing, but that ends quickly when Gilligan says that he was chased by a shark. "After Gilligan Zac went out and got nudged by a shark, I am really not going to be out there spear fishing," Ginger Erika says.
Gilligan Zac also has plans to keep Mary Ann Mandy on the island. He says, "I am going to do everything in my power to make sure that Team Orange doesn't win." But it seems that the Gilligans both have two different opinions about Mary Ann Mandy. Gilligan Shawn says, "The only problem that I have with Mary Ann Mandy is she has this mole right between her eyebrows, and every time I want to make a move that mole keeps talking to me. Its like, 'Shawn, I am another being from Mary Ann's head.'"
The radio interrupts Shawn's thoughts on Mary Ann Mandy, and tells everyone to meet under the palm tree. Host Scott is there waiting for them with some dirty laundry. The Mary Anns have to show their domestic skills by rinsing out the clothes that their teammates have just washed. But there is a catch, the teammates must use the clothing that they are wearing. The first team to fill the container wins.
Mary Ann Randi shows that she has the better household skills. With the help of her teammates, she's able to defeat Mary Ann Mandy by a landslide. But Mary Ann Mandy doesn't go quietly. She says through tears, "I'm angry, I'm shocked and hurt because you work so hard and it's taken out of your hands by someone who is lazy and who complains." Skipper Charlie backs Mary Ann Mandy up and says, "Everyone knows that Mary Ann Randi can never fill the pig-tails of Mary Ann Mandy." [video]
Although Mary Ann Mandy leaves the island and saddens many of the castaways, it doesn't take long for Team Orange to cheer up. Host Scott tells them that they have received wash tubs and detergents to keep their clothes clean. But that mood quickly changes when Team Orange makes Mary Ann Randi wash all their clothes. Mary Ann Randi complains, "What an award. Now I can do my team's laundry. Give me a break."
Professor Tiy-e starts the night off by asking Mary Ann Randi an obscene question. He asks, "If you have to choose one man on the island to have sex with, who would it be?" Mary Ann Randi doesn't give him the satisfaction of a reply. She quickly leaves the men alone and pondering the answer.
Just as Mary Ann Randi gets sex out of her head, Gilligan Zac runs through the camp totally naked squealing at the tops of his lungs. The Professor of love, Tiy-e, suddenly becomes quiet and shy. "Some of the people thought it was amusing. I thought it was a disgrace. You know I am very big on my manhood and that was an embarrassment to me." Gilligan Shawn remarks, "I think it's kind of funny because Professor Tiy-e is so insecure with his sexuality. It makes me laugh. He is supposed to be the love doc. Doctor love, himself. Yet he gets all freaked out. I think he needs to go back and take one of his own classes." [video]
The mood changes when they go to Voodoo Village and find out that Gilligan Shawn and Gilligan Zac are fighting the next day to remain on the island. But there is something else in the chop box that adds to their suspense. There is a note that reads, "Tomorrow, the final castaway will be decided and the game will change."
The morning starts off with Skipper Charlie and Mr. Bounce arguing who will be the winner of the competition. Skipper Charlie wants to keep his little buddy, Gilligan Zac, but Mr. Bounce wants an Orange team member to win, so he is cheering for Gilligan Shawn.
The radio interrupts their beautiful morning with news of the final battle. They all meet on the beach, where Host Scott is waiting for them. Host Scott tells them that they will be fishing, but without their nets. The Gilligans have to catch as many fish as they can with only their hands and without any help from their teammates.
After two minutes of splashing around, both of the Gilligans are fish-less. They are then given nets. After one minute, Gilligan Shawn catches one fish and Gilligan Zac has zero. Gilligan Zac leaves the island, and the final seven remain. Since they are now the seven castaways, they can use each others' rewards.
When they get back to their huts, there are new clothes, pillows, and food for all of them. But sharing does not come easy between the two groups. Team Orange makes use of the Team Green's shower, but, in the process, throws Skipper Charlie's flag into the trees. Skipper Charlie retorts, "That might be an equal shower, but that was mine. I haven't touched anything of yours so don't touch anything of mine." Professor Tiy-e replies, "Crazy Charlie comes thumping up there, because his flag got thrown into the woods. He comes huffing and puffing at me. It was all about his little buddy that's no longer here. The bottom line is you lost and you are losing, and I am the only one you can take it out on."
Skipper Charlie then gives a warning to Gilligan Shawn. He threatens, "Remember. You no longer sleep with him (Professor Tiy-E). You sleep with me."
The anger quiets down when they go to dinner. There is lobster and wine to calm everyone down. But the tension comes back sooner than they would have liked. Mary Ann Randi tries the wine right out of the bottle instead of pouring it into her glass. The rest of the castaways feel that for a domestic girl, she sure has terrible table manners.
